The Medalist looks really nice in your pocket or when you put the pen to paper. The Cross company must have put much research and development money into their ball point refills because this pen glides as you write and ink is very smoothly put on the paper. This pen actually makes my hand writing legible again! Thank you A.T. Cross!

The pen and pencil are very good looking and really nice to write with.
The only thing that disappointed me a bit was that I found the same products in two different shops at a lower price than the one I paid in the corporate website.
It's always better to do a market research.

I received the set as a gift and from the beginning the mechanical pencil did not work. The tip doesn't stay extended but goes back into the instrument as soon as I try to write. Also, the lead does not feed. For some reason the pen tip does the same thing but sporadically. If I pull it apart as if to refill and put it back together it will work correctly for a while. Weird. I'm hoping both can be repaired and at no cost!
